Okay Browncoats - - here's the update - -
FoxMusic.Publishing@fox.com
We need to attack, en masse, and let Fox know that we WANT a Firefly soundtrack. Judging by the response from La La Land Records, they are willing and able; and I've just gotten word from Greg Edmonson's agent - - they, too, are willing and able. It's up to the folks at Fox.
With the BDMovie less than 2 months away, the original episodes being re-aired on the Sci-Fi channel, and the DVD sets currently selling quite well, it seems like an ideal time for Fox to strike with a Firefly soundtrack...they need to hear us!
Everyone please take a moment and send them a note to the new email address above (Do you have multiple email accounts? All the better!!) Keep it short and sweet, just let them know that you'd be very interested in purchasing music from the television series Firefly.
Browncoats are nothing if not determined. We get what we want by making LOTS of noise. So...? Who's with me? =D

I'm in. But I would like to know first if anyone has got a reply from that email - either "thanks for your input" or "email someone else about this". I'd hate to contribute to the flood of mail they're going to get if it's not the right address.
I would freakin' love a Firefly soundtrack.

If you go to the main Fox music website ( http://www.foxmusic.com/) and click on either the Store, or Licensing, that's the email address you get as the "Contact Us" address. So hopefully, it'll get to the ears (er - - eyes) of them that can do us some good!

Excellent! I'll get right on it. I've wanted a Firefly soundtrack (like everyone else) for quite a while now. Now you've made a way open for us to do so (well, more like suggested, but it's the thought that counts)
*Begins to type begging email to Fox*

OK, I just sent this email to them:
I'm just writing to add my voice to the campaign for a Firefly soundtrack to be released. I would not buy it because I am a Firefly fan - I would buy it because Greg Edmonson's score is one of the most beautiful I have heard in any TV series or film. Just listen to some of the incidentel music in 'Bushwacked' and 'Out of Gas', or at the end of 'The Message' and you'll see what I mean. I'm sure lots of people would be interested and not just hardcore fans.
I would dearly love to have those pieces on CD to listen to without the dialog and sound effects. With the Serenity movie increasing interest in Firefly this autumn is the ideal time.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to request that you consider releasing an official soundtrack album to the television show 'Firefly', which ran on your network in the fall of 2002. Though its first-run ratings were unimpressive, the show has garnered a massive fan base through sales of the DVD set--which are currently at a peak--and is sure to reach even more enthusiasts as it airs on the Sci-Fi network this summer in preparation for Universal's film continuation of the 'Firefly' story, 'Serenity'.
'Firefly' has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of people around the world, and Greg Edmonson's score was an integral part of the experience: engaging and absorptive, it drew viewers even further into Joss Whedon's world with blend of various musical styles and influences, and perfectly reflected the tension and emotions portrayed on the screen.
A 'Firefly' soundtrack would be warmly received by present and future fans of the series and film; as the series is currently showing in its entirety on the Sci-Fi Network, a release now would be well-timed to take advantage of those viewers; and, as DVD sales (and soon, sales of movie tickets) continue to climb, it would surely be a profitable venture for your division.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
