it makes no sense to say they were taken by surprise,
these were f*cking PRE-ORDERS
they've known for a couple of months what the volumn would be!

But I got mine yesterday (Saturday the 23rd)
and interestingly?
Marvel got my Amazing X-Men #11 to me the same day!
(Marvel is SO much more professional!)

I have not received mine from 258West yet either. No e-mail about a delay, so I have been watching the mail eagerly every day. Guess I will have to go and mail them now. :(

I didn't pre-order; day before yesterday I just walked into my favorite comics shop and picked up issue #1.

I've got a real advantage here; I live right close to a truly world-class comic shop, Flying Colors in Contra Costa County, CA. Happy to report that they had all three variants on good display in their "Media Tie-Ins" section.

I've a feeling what happened here is that most Browncoats who were going to buy the comic (which is to say, most Browncoats), pre-ordered theirs just as most of the folk on this thread did.

Then some drone at the pre-order point waited for the last minute to check his/her ordering figures, and got caught flat-footed. This ain't an excuse, just a possible explanation.

I just got email from TFAW that mine are on the way. In 7-14 short days (media mail), I'll have the same issues I picked up almost a week ago from my local shop...

TFAW ain't getting anymore of my $$.

*blushes* I have Angel #2. Why you ask?

I keep trying to go to Tfaw.com and getting a "Not available" page. What gives?

I just went into my local comic shop and picked up Serenity #1 (all three covers) two weeks ago...

No spoilers: It was GREAT!!! My question... is this an original story, or is the comic an adaption of the movie? They really don't say one way or another anywhere in the comic...

The comic book series is to bridge the gap between the TV series and the BDM. So no problem reading the comic book before the movie, in fact I am sure it is the preferred way to do it.

I got to say I was a little disappointed in the comic, and that is to say there just wasn't enough in it. It was over before it began, but no problem I only paid to have it shipped by UPS over from the U.S. to the U.K.

Damn!!
