I can't really get into the idea of having to pay about half the amount I normally do for a game every single month just to continue playing it.

My main is a 25 NE hunter on Doomhammer, 'main alt' is a 22 Shortie Mage, and I'm addicted to making alts, so have too many others to name.

I'm on Dalaran

lets see lvl 41 NE Hunter (mark/beast), lvl 30 dwarf Paladin (protection spec'd), lvl 23 Elven druid (caster/heal build), lvl 23 Human mage (frost), lvl 18 human Priest (discipline)

Who me? favor Alliance? Nah play Alts? big Nah!

Oh Simon, my husband used to buy 2 - 3 video games a month @ $45-50 each, more games if I wanted to play too. Since we got into MMORPGS and we only subscribe to one at a time, we save a bundle of cash cause he rarely (like twice a year) buys other games now cause he has much more fun w/ the onlines.

so there in a method to the madness! cause one time I thought just the same as you

Caradoc I cant help but agree with Simonwho on this one. The sig will likely put up the load time for dial up users in threads you post in. Great quote but it would be just as great in text form. Just a little side note, I really dont think much of you coming on here as a new user to these boards and immediately hastling a respected regular poster. Word to the wise, calm down the attitude.

I tried City of Heroes but found it rather dull. You walk around, you punch a few guys in the face, you collect the points, you upgrade, you punch slightly tougher guys in the face, you upgrade, ad nauseum. Although it was cool seeing how many people recognised my character's name (BigDamnHero) as being from Firefly.

Respected? Me? That's outrageous, take that slur this instant. I'm the scourge of the community, I'll have you know.

I have a 60 mage on Feathermoon (among other characters).

Oh, and I used to be against paying to play... BUT, it's the cost of a movie and popcorn and one can play for much longer than 2-3 hours on that money.

Most MMORPG's do suck, though... and wading through the filth to find a good one is expensive. I tried WoW during open beta, otherwise I would have skipped it.
