From the moderators of the Firefly Sock Puppet Theatre—the first and longest running internet-based Firefly RPG—comes The Signal: the first blog RPG based on the upcoming movie, Serenity. We’re looking for players with a passion for the universe and a love of writing.

Unfortunately, the main crew is already spoken for, but we are casting for:

Supporting canon characters
Original characters.

We are looking mostly for people that have seen the movie already, but casting will be open indefinately for a variety of roles.

It sounds pretty interesting n all, but I havent seen the movie.

And to that end, I just want to give you MAJOR props for that well placed spoiler warning on your site. You saved me a lot of spoilerific tragedy!

Well, we don't open for activity until September 28, so after you've seen the movie, you're welcome to apply.

I'm glad the disclaimers were useful. I know some people that were accidentially spoiled because someone on the internet was too much of an idiot to clearly mark their post, and I don't think that should happen to anyone. I would hate to think I ruined the movie for someone.

Well, we haven't started yet. The game doesn't open for activity until the 28th, so people that haven't seen the movie yet wouldn't have a lot of catching up to do. We just started recruiting early, so we'd have plenty of time to set up and prepare so that when we did open, we'd be really good.

Unfortunately, all the main characters are spoken for by now, but there's still several supporting canon characters open, not to mention any original character you might devise: companions, browncoats, bounty hunters, politicians, Alliance soldiers, and so on. We're going to do something with pirates, too. It has potential for cool.
