Yep - according to the SciFi.com site, showings of FIREFLY (BDS) starts Friday July 22nd... gotta tell all our pals that are still sceptics!
Any word on the rumors about an earlier release of SERENITY?
There are times when you can feel destiny close around us like a fist around a door knob. Sure, we can resist. But a knob that won't turn, a
door that sticks and never budges, is a nuisance to the gods. The gods may kick in the jamb. Worse, they may walk away in disgust, leaving us to hang dumbly from our tight hinges, deprived of any chance in life to swing open into unnecessary risk and thus into enchantment. - Tom Robbins

WOOHOO!!! My question is this: since SciFi is showing FireFly does this mean that Fox has released the rights? Could new episodes possibly be produced through the SciFi channel, similar to what they did with Stargate SG-1?
Just a thought.

No, Sci-Fi just owns the cable rights to the already made Firefly episodes. 20th Century Fox still owns the rights to Firefly the tv show.
I'm still surprised at how many people are just finding out about this old news. This was news about 4 months ago and yet we keep getting these thread whenever there is a new article on it or now commerials like it just was announced. Gives me a chuckle.
Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Wow, did it feel good to see a commercial for Firefly on Sci-fi. The commercial actually made the show look tasteful for a change -- like it was quality science fiction. Down with Fox!
