Edit: You may need to goto "find films" and enter "Serenity" to see it - Fireflyfans.net forum software is messing up the link above.

That's cos the forum software is crap I've just tried everything I know to fix the url and it won't display the link properly..

For anyone clickig it, when you get the 'film not found' link on the site it goes to, add the end '/ manually and hit return, it'll get you to the film. Crappy forum software.

Thanks muchly for the link; I feel a trip north o' the border coming on.

There'll be four of us, so it all should be funky dory. Thanks for your concern though

Pretty darn cool to get those two extra screenings but I have to admit, I'm glad I don't have to go through the same ordeal of struggling for tickets again!

Just thought I'd add a note that Serenity made the national newspaper today - the Scotland on Sunday. Just a little article about all the problems with the phones and websites, saying it was unprecedented, mentioning the two extra screenings that were going on, and then the synopsis of the film copied out of the festival brochure. Mentioned Buffy too.

Many thanks to the person who posted that different phone number - that's the one that helped me get some tickets - though I didn't get enough for everyone in our party, which is quite upsetting. I'm holding out hope.

I've just about forgiven my little sister too: she was working at midday, took a break about 12:15, called once, got straight through, and got 3 tickets for the Monday premiere. Then she innocently called me and asked if I had my tickets yet. We're speculating that maybe it was quicker to get through if you called from an Edinburgh phone number?? She redeemed herself by obtaining two more tickets for me - not sure what she did to get a hotline to the damn place though... So frustrating... The two Australians who seemed to be the only ones manning the phone line were lovely when I did get through though - even called me back to confirm the purchase.

But I am still holding on the celebrations till I have the tickets in my hand...

Man! I just got home from Scotland 2 days ago. *crying in my pillow* Wonder what the odds are that I could afford another plane ticket? I'll be having a sharp word with my best friend for not planning her wedding around this event...

Now on the Edinburgh FilmFestival site:

"Due to unprecedented demand, the additional Wednesday 24th August screening of Serenity has now sold out.

But all is not lost Serenity fans- tickets for the Best of Fest screening on Sunday 28th August go on sale from noon on Monday 22nd August. "

Congrats to all who got tickets! Hope you have a great experience!

Summer Glau. the most beautiful and lovely woman I have ever met!

Unfortunetely I wouldn`t be able to make the 28th - so 22nd-214th was my only options.

My offer of a signed DVD box set still stands for a ticket (including payment of ticket too) for the 22nd

Cheers!
