Hey

I've been looking around and am just curious when exactly the movie takes place? Does it pick up right where the series left off? The synopsis' I've read mention the crew picking up Simon and River but this could just be background for non-Firefly fans.

Any info would be appreciated,

The movies supposed to pick up six months after OPJECTS IN SPACE, which supposedly is the last ep of the series, although I heard somewhere that it was really THE MESSAGE. Personally, I think it's OIS, since it has a far more satisfying final ep.

And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming towards me very fast? Very very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like ... ow ... ound ... round ... ground! That's it! That's a good name - ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me?

The message was the episode filming when the axe finally fell on our BDHs. That was makes the funeral scene so touching on many levels.

There was a clue in the movie regarding so many months since something happened from the series. So it should be possible to date.
