Anybody working on translating the Chinese in the Serenity comics yet? I wasn't totally expecting to see actual Mandarin (I'm assuming it's Mandarin) characters, rather some sort of phoenetic spelling, but it's still pretty cool.

Here's my attempt, but I'm no Mandarin scholar:

Nice job as always, Ying!

NOTE TO THE READER: be careful not to confuse the 'yi1 da4 tuo2 da4bian4' of Jayne's curse with the 'da4 bian4hua4' that Young Simon happily exclaims when his Dad buys him a dedicated source box. ;)

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.

Good point. I remember LuchaNan clarifying that back in the day.

Wow! Thanks! I was wondering about these. Next issue I'll be sure to check that site again for translations.

I love the Chinese script, wasn't expecting to see it either. At least we (well those who can actually read Chinese) will know what people are meant to be saying, and the translations for the rest of us are very much appreciated.

You're welcome (all). Next time they'll be up faster because I'll just go right to the comics store for the issue instead of expecting Things From Another World to send it to me (still waiting for #1 to even ship). Plus, I won't have the reformatting of my site to do.
