It's a fairly simple process to allocate bandwidth space to different parts of a website. They just didn't do it.

I`ve started a thread for tickets, maybe everybody can use that in asking and maybe some will be lucky? I`m keeping my eyes peeled but not neccesarily hopeing for too much.
I have accomodation booked on the 22nd within 10mins walk of the cinema - but that will need to be canceled unless I strike it lucky.

After the extraordinary demand for the World Premiere and debut feature from director (and Buffy creator) Joss Whedon?s new film Serenity, Edinburgh International Film Festival and distributor UIP reacted immediately today by arranging two more screenings.
Keen not to disappoint the fans EIFF Artistic Director Shane Danielsen said: “When we get such a clear signal from the fans that they’re so passionate about a particular film, we’re more than happy, wherever we can, to make additional screenings possible.”
The first new screening will be a matinee on Wednesday 23rd August . The second screening will be part of the Festival’s Best of the Fest line-up on Sunday 28th August. Tickets for the first new screening will not be available until Mon18th July and tickets for the Best of the Fest screening will not be available until Mon 22 August.

I've got mine sorted, so I'm torn between a "more the merrier" approach in which I try to get a couple of tickets for those who don't manage it themselves, because the more people trying the more chance there'll be, and a "stay WELL away and have less people on the system" approach.
