That is exactly why I am watching, just for Nathan.
I hope it is a success just because I want to see Nathan.
Of course, I would prefer to have him back as Captain Reynold.

That makes two of us FireflyPassenger. I will watch the show to see Nathan. Should be pretty cool. Of course, who would not want Nathan back in the part of Capt Mal Reynolds?

Well I have seen the pilot of Nathan's new show Alligator Point.
It is set in the South and the folks, I would describe as hick/country. There were some very funny lines my favorite is Nathan's character shouting, "I'M STILL SEXY!" That was great. I had a great time and look forward to seeing the show picked up. Kelsey Grammer was there to oversee things. He is a tall man.
The following is an account of my experience that I posted on the Fox board and now here for any and all who are interested.
I went into spastic overdrive when I first caught sight of Nathan. Almost like a seizure dance. I recognized the back of his head. Then he returned to go through a door behind the set. There was a country band playing, I don't even remember the song but I caught Nate doing some kind of dance just before he went through the door. It was indescribable. It was a candid glimpse of Nate, I don't think he realized people could see him. I was just in a complete state of thrall. Truly mesmerized by the sight! I was able to see him go in and out quite a bit. At one point I did catch his eye. He had a deer in the headlight look that people, me, were watching him when he was not technically on stage. I won't forget that look.
Later the cast was introduced. They exited through the door to the Oyster Bar. Nate held the screen door for the ladies, truly a gentleman. It appears Nate made dollar bets, every time he messed up he had to pay the cast a dollar. He flubbed a line and when they were through the scene he immediately paid up. I saw him pay out twice.
There was a guy, Dave whose job it is to keep the audience entertained while the writer or director are talking to the cast. He finally called on some Fillionaires. We were all spread out. When he eventually came to our side I told him he could have the entire Fillionaires stand. He hesitated then told us to stand. He was impressed. He tried to get Nate to come over but the cast was receiving notes changes. Later Dave did call Nate over and he climbed up to where we were sitting, the same level. Dave asked him if he knew of the Fillionaires and he said yes they're from the Internet, from Firefly. I was just so excited. Nate asked who traveled the farthest and then he spoke in Spanish. He said in Spanish, "The cockroaches go in but they don't come out." Afterwards I saw him talking to someone in the cast and pointing at where we were sitting on the right the back and the left.
During a break in shooting, I was sitting at the opposite end of the audience from where the rest of the group was. I walked over to see how they were doing. Then I saw Nathan come over. I was so close. He is beautiful, sweet, charming, kind and generous gentleman. I was letting other folks approach with stuff to sign. Heidi presented the penguin with the card. He saw the card and smiled just like he smiled at Kaylee and said, "Aw". I did not want to run back and get something. My sister Perla being the beautiful and smart sister she is, grabbed my journal and a pen. I was going to ask Nathan to sign but they said time to go. So I was just holding it thinking aww too bad, then Nathan sees it/me and reaches for it. Is that kind or what!?! The first time I spoke to him I told him he was doing a great job! He said, "Thanks". When he was signing I told him, "I have admired you since Joey Buchanon", he said, "Quite a long time." I said admired because I thought love might freak him out. He has gorgeous eyes. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to shake his hand but I am happy. I might have melted or something.
My favorite quote from the evening, Nate in character yelling, "I'M STILL SEXY!'
At the end the cast came out for a final curtain call and we're clapping. Then Nate points to the writer of the show and the cast follows suit.
Did I mention he looked HOT? Lean and Sweet. He has no stomach and big shoulders. He wore a red t-shirt then a black t-shirt.
This was a truly shiny experience. The only thing needed to make it perfect would be if Adam could have met us there.

It is a pilot so not officially on the Fall Schedule yet. I'll let you know as soon as I have that information.
Here are more reports of the experience.
