I have heard a few days ago from one of my sources that NBC offered Nathan two shows he could work on, the first was a cop show based in Las Vegas (Nathan turned it down), and the other is very similar to Cheers, Nathan accepted this one, and is going to be the star in it. In the show Nathan plays the role of a washed up racecar driver. The show’s idea apparently comes from Kelsey Grammer who is playing a big role in the show as well (not acting though).

Nathan Fillion's new NBC show
TVDIR
I saw this on zap2it.com with an article about recent casting in Hollywood.
"Also at NBC, Nathan Fillion (last seen on FOX's "Firefly") will star in the comedy "Alligator Point" as a fisherman in a quirky Florida town."
Here's the complete article (Nathan is last paragraph):

In my opinion, the most terrifying thing about this show is that it will also star Jamie Pressley - she of Not Another Teen Movie-Aerosmith video-1-800-COLLECT fame. Yikes!

Jamie Pressley doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, but Nathan's coolness will outweight her stupidity and crappy acting. (One would hope.)

More info about the show:
Here is a link to get tickets to the taping:

There are 2 days for the taping April 11th and April 16th.
Someone has started a website. Still in the early stages but it will provide more info. I believe this is the first website for a pilot
We have faith in Nathan.

I remember Park Overall and she is funny! Very quick wit. I am sure she will be cutting Nathan down a lot. She will probably be the Carla of this cheers. Jamie is there because she is pretty. Don't know how funny she will be. I really don't know the other 2 guys.
I want Captain Malcolm Reynolds back. But I'll taken Nathan any way I can get him.
I want to say I hope this show lasts but then that would be giving up on Firefly, so I just hope to see Nathan for a long time. I hope they are planning on putting this on Thursday after Friends. That will give it it's best shot.
Keep Flyin'

From the TVtix website:
Nathan Fillion (from the Fox hit "Firefly") stars as strong southern fisherman in an eclectic southern town.
Fox "hit" Firefly?
Did I miss something?

Probably just NBC's marketing people trying to ingratiate themselves with the Browncoat community. It seems to be working. ^_^

Not for this Browncoat. Sounds like another commercial TV turd. Hope Nathan makes a boatload of money, but I won't be watching. Watdya bet it has a laughtrack?

Heh. I just meant they were trying to get us to take notice of it. I have no comments on the show itself. I don't really watch the major networks anymore.
