Shiny things are coming in August and the fantable & shindig are just 2 good reasons for a being a Browncoat this Summer.

almost back from my crazy time of near 14 hour days for 2 weeks - such is the path i choose to walk!!

trying to get through my yahoo messages but haven't managed it yet and now i'm going home to sleep for a couple of days - is should be able to make it to brum but have done nothing about it as yet

when i wake up i'll get my act together!

Andy has stepped into high gear with promoting the event and has now advertised it on the Starfury Yahoo Group (courtesy of Sean, who has also donated stuff)

I don`t know if there is an upper limit to attendees, I think the shindig is in a biggish conferance room and tyhe more the better.

If you intend to stay in the hotel, it`s £20 per night per person (based on 2 people sharing) - Double Shiny may be looking to share as without it`s nearly £40 per night for a single room.

btw, the 1st batch of 10x Jayne Cobb Hatrs have arrived these will be offered on a 1st come 1st served basis, but if you klet Andy know when you buy a ticket, you may be able to reserve a hat for a slightly reduced price.

Thanks to all who are supporting this event in their own very individual ways, it really is a team effort and although I am runnung round like an idiot right now, I am assured that we can get a good enough showing to attend the event.

I have been asked about teh raffle and whether it is open to non-attendees of the shindig. At the moment the answer is no because we want to encourage attendance because as the lottery says - you have to be in it to win it.

We have TWO conventions offering free tickets to meet our BIG DAMN HEROES! One in the UK and one in the USA. Please look and see if there is a real reason why you might not be able to attend. Otherwise, if you want the movie to be a success then join us in annoying the hell out of people until they agree to attend the cinema in October!

This is definitely looking very tempting. Though I would basically be showing up just to linger around the fantable, since there's no guests I'd be all that interested in seeing. That might change once I got there, though.

I wonder if my badges will have arrived by then?

What's the timeframe for the shindig? Start and finish times, I mean.

We are hoping that tickets can be bought for the edinburgh film premier - and then offered up as yet another big damm prize for the raffle - but we will have to wait until Friday to find out.

I didn`t get any tickets :( but some good news!

If you fancy a fan made replica of Mal`s Pistol or even Jayne`s pistol, SloopyJon has kindly allowed us to sell them on his behalf.

Oh my good lord.

I am definitely coming now! If I can get one of them AND a Jayne hat, well... all I need then is the coat and I'll be able to look like a total Firefly geek!

Incidentally, what's the price tag on both those things going to be? Any ideas yet?

Didn't manage to get tickets to the premiere, mainly cos we broke the website - Yeahhhh!! However, this happens before all the Edinburgh hoopla, and is a great opportunity to spread the word. Come join your fellow browncoats & make converts!
