I'm starting to think this is all some sick experiment to see how patient people really are. First the movie gets delayed, then the comic book, now the trailer. Opening night the first showing will probably claim technical difficulties and they'll just sit in the booth starring at us waiting for the first person to flip out.

From what has been hinted at, we may see more of the group dynamics, and try to bring that feeling of they are THE crew and not just any crew stuck together on a ship with fugitives on the run.
It`s the power of the differnt trailers that will make or break the potential viewing audience.
btw, just seen "National Treasure" on DVD, didn`t think much of the trailer and never saw it at the cinema, but it is actualy pretty good. The trailer for that film was all action, and it just left me feeling that it was just trying o be a Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones Clone, but it has a good story & the villain is British (always a plus point - all the bets villans are British

not a fan of national treasure, entertaining enough but i preferred tomb raider movies.
flashy cg and action sells to everyone not just kids, this is the everyday joe they have to appeal to as well as us hardcore fans

It might just be the way it was advertised as another tomb-raider style movie that made you see it, for me it was the oposite, because the trailer made it look like a variation on tombraider, I wasn`t inclined to see it at the cinema - same thing for Sahara - although for me that was too much CGI.
The point is trailers can be missleading, showing all the `flash` bits, and hardly any slow bits, maybe a bit of love & comedy moments.
Please don`t read the spoiler space if you want to remain spoiler free as I am about to say what I think should be in the new trailer (IMOO).

I think the intro to Serenity where something falls off it and trhe captain complains should be in there. Kaylee having fun with the kids, quick glimpses of Reavers (not full on `let's show Reavers` - The crew preparing to do battle, some of Rivers `Dance` sequence, some bits to show the love they have for each other, and of course one of the scenes that introduces the Operative & maybe Mr Universe too.
I guess we will find ouit maybe this week coming (or maybe not, but hopefully it will be online soonish

One of the Arizona Browncoats said she saw a new Serenity trailer on TV on a cable movie channel. Apparantly they were using Universal trailers as filler between movies. She said it was different from the one online. So maybe we Yanks got it before you? :)
