Who else thinks that Kaylee is HOT?

I've read one of Jewel's blogs where she says that she's just naturally skinny and I respect that, I just think she looked cuter and more natural and less like all the other skinny skinny actresses out there when she had the extra 20 lbs. But I couldn't see any sign of blubber at all.
And I like that Joss isn't afraid to put more natural looking women in his TV shows-like Tara in Buffy.

One must remember... *I* am a gearhead, small engine mechanic, cab pusher and all around fix-it/engineer type - to an almost stereotypical degree!
Crabby as a wolverine with a hangover? yep.
Smoke like a chimney? yep.
Cuss like a sailor? yep.
Chug down impressive amounts of really awful coffee? yep.
Throw tools and cuss in four languages? yep.
Fix anythin that ever worked in the first place? Damn Straight!
That bein so, there's like, no WAY I could not react to Kaylee with typical barbaric engineer impulses to whistle, comment and/or polish tools.
It's.. like... biological imperative!!

From something I read (it was a while ago, so I don't recall what), I learned Jewel was in an accident or sick in the past, and she was a bit sedintary for a while. She then gained weight. (I personally thought she looked lovely)
Anyway, she was cast, because Kaylee was, in Joss' words, a "round" charater.
After she got all better, and she returned to her regular activity level, the weight naturally came off. At forst Joss tried to make her gain it back, but being the smart and caring man he is he stopped. He must have realized that doing so would not be any better than forcing an actress to lose 20lbs for a part.
Personally, I liked Kaylee with a few extra pounds on her, but I think she looks lovely now too. Also, the loss in weight sort off seems like a loss of baby fat. This shows a bit of a loss of innocence which came by growing up from bad things happening to our sweet little girl. I mean, after being shot at, tied up, threatened with rape, and being a memer of a band of thieves, I'm sure Kaylee has lost abit of innocence. The thinner body makes her look older, and I think that is pretty importnat for the plot.

Actually I'm kidding about the size of the fire, it just melted the coffee-maker and put a large black mark on the wall. Nothing burned (meaning me) too badly. Last time I ever make the coffe at work.

That is not my experience at all. Women in engineering are not exactly a sought after commodity where I went to college. Heck, half the time you didn't realize they were female until they said something and you had to do a double take.
Anyway...I think Kaylee gets the hot ranking because she's the type of person guys want to end up with. Just seems like life would be great if you had Kaylee to come home to every day. However, when I first watched the show it was Inara who first caught my eye. She's stunningly gorgeous. Though she doesn't have the personality I'd go for.
In conclusion, Inara = one night stand and Kaylee = life long stand.
