Hello All,
First off, I just got my Firefly DVDs and they rock. Second, I played them on a PS2 and as stated above, it would play the first disc, but then it would have issues saying Disc Read Error. Naturally, this pissed me off so I went ahead and solved the problem. (Like I would let technology get in the way of me watching Firefly)
The problem with the disc read error is that the DVD itself is too thin/light for the PS2 spindle to get a good hold on it. So there are two (actually three)solutions. By order of least expensive they are:
1. Put your PS2 on its side and it might work. This did it for me. (the side groove in the loading tray stablizes the DVD so it can be read)
2. Put scotch tape or the cd label hole around the clear part of the TITLE of the DVD hole to give it extra weight.
3. Call Sony tell them that your PS2 will not read the new "Blue Discs" and after going through the 20 questions of "did you clean it?" they should offer to repair it free of charge minus postage. (not really sure if this would work, but paying 20 USD for free maintnance on your PS2 isn't so bad.
If this doesn't work do an internet search on "blue disc DVD PS2 Read error" or something similar for more ideas.
Off to watch more Firefly

I just wanted to say Thanks to Trs80. I just got my Dvds and while they don't worn on either my, or my dad's players (I'm not surprised, though one is only a year old and one only a few month, they are quite tempermental) They work beautifully on my 'puter (puter has surround sound anyways) The menus are so pretty!!!!!
Thanks Trs80!!!!

1 plain and 1 color set left now. Any takers?
If you buy both sets (color set for yourself, plain set as a loaner for example) I'll discount the price. Contact me: trs80@cornerpub.com

If I could convince myself that I needed 3 sets I would buy them.

TRS80,
I received the DVDs today.
Thanks for the quick service.
Folks, this ain't an April Fools Day joke:
Believe the hype...
This product is that damn good!
It's true, it's true...
Instead of petitioning Fox to release a Firefly DVD set, people should be petitioning TRS80 to continue pushing his product...
I guess I'll have to miss watching American Idol, err...I mean, The Shield's season finale tonight...

ever seen a grown browncoat do the monkey chair dance of joy? wanna? then get your TRS80 Firefly DVDs now because people, they are the shiniest.
just to put this in perspective for y'all, i've been existing on two--count 'em, two--episodes until this point; Serenity and Train Job, both on VHS, both with commercials. i put the first disc in my Sony player this morning and felt the first chill as the theme started to play...
thank you TRS80...
