I've been lurking for a while now, and now I'm compelled to make an appearance.
I originally found this site while I was looking for a Firefly based PbEm (Play by E-mail game). So far, no real luck in finding that, but I did find this wonderful place, so I'm glad for that.
I was a fan of Firefly when it originally aired, but lost track due to a busy life. I finally had the time to watch the DVD's. I'm hooked like there's no tomorrow.
Since the very, very, very horrible ending to Enterprise, I've been uninspired to write in my usual Trek PbEM (which I shouldn't since I'm a GM, Gosh!).
Firefly brought back that 'urge to write' ...and I need more Firefly. In a perfect world, a more deserving network would pick-up Firefly and help produce new episodes. Oh well, the world isn't perfect.
Anyway, glad to be here. Hope to make a couple of new buds, and ...god willing... even a good Firefly based PbEM. So far, nothng in the 'verse has turned up.

PbEM = Play by E-mail game. It's a role playing game played entirely in email.
It's perfect for someone like me who just doesn't have the time to dedicate to chat based or IRC based games.
I guess I should've been more specific in my post. Well, time to edit.

Knibblet, PbEm is Play by Email RPG type things. Basically the same thing as Play by Mail, only quicker. [editted to add: Whoops. This paragraph now redundant]
I have fond memories of running my own countries in Hyborian War. Pretty glad it was PBM and not PbEm, however. $7 per turn every two weeks was stretching it on my allowance back then

Well, if it makes you feel any better Sci Fi will be picking up Firefly for rebroadcast next month leading up to the release of the movie in September.
In case you missed it, there is also an official RPG coming out in September.
