Tampa's Big Damn Party...Thank you! (No spoilers)

The Tampa screening was just awesome. Due to rain and traffic those of us coming from outside the city had a bit of fun getting there but it was well worth it. The movie was even better the second time for me.

A good size group of us started the night at the Roadhouse and it was a great way to kick off the evening. Good food and even better people. We had Firefly music playing, name tags, and the 'Happy Birthday' banner which was also brought to the theater.

At the theater we took up the one side waiting to be let in. People were asking what the wait was for and for some reason the staff told them they were not allowed to say what movie it was. Quite a few came over to ask though and we were more than happy to fill them in. We might not have had anyone from the show but we did have Spike. Very good resemblance from a slight distance and even dressed with the coat and all. Even up close at certian angles this guy was pretty good, but when he was outside the theater having a smoke he was dead-on. Lots of different Firefly shirts and a few in costume even.

Obviously I didn't get a chance to meet everyone but what a group. Also, we had to have had the best looking women at any of the screenings, especially the two with EvilMike and I .

I cannot express my gratitude to everyone who made this possible, thank you.

I forgot to mention at the end of the night a large group of us gathered outside the theater and videotaped us singing 'Happy birthday' to Joss. I would love to see pictures from our screening and the tape too!

I hope I can get the time off work to see everyone in Orlando on 9-30.

It was great to see all of the Browncoats who showed up for the Tampa showing. Gina obviously went to the wrong Florida showing.

hehe. thats my hubby :) he's been mistaken for Spike on more than one occassions. its sorta creepy some days.

I wish I had the time to come over and talk with you, anyone who goes to the Firefly premiere dressed like that has to be pretty cool.

As for pictures, I know they have to be linked from a host site here. I have quite a bit of webspace available and would be more than happy to host them for anyone. If someone wanted I could even throw up a whole page with nothing but Tampa pics for a whole seperate link to go to. I could even host the video if need be.

I did the video for the birthday sing-along and would like to also thank all the participants. You guys sounded great!

I entrusted the tape to Sue and she is working to get it posted on line or may have already done so. (I'm on a big road trip across America right now so only have limited on-line time...)

Hope to see everybody again in Orlando on Sept 30th!
