I was long gone by 5pm - went to the 10.30 showing which was nice and quiet (just hate having other people in the cinema with me! They can be so disruptive!) then headed straight home in a packed inter-city train with no air-con. Lovely...guess that's what it felt like to be in the Bat Suit...!

Love the idea of the fireflies - but maybe they could just stick up some fairy lights instead! Same sort of effect, less buzzing!

Can those in the know confirm whether there will actually be a "proper" premiere in the UK? Afterall, doesn't happen with every film, no matter how big the stars.

Edited to add: as many of you might already have noticed, two "TBA"s have appeared at the Starfury site. There's also a new thread suggesting costume shoots - suggest we all add our support for that idea!

I've just been distracted by a huge hornet buzzing around the room and suddenly thought that for the premiere of Serenity, they could release 50,000 fireflies and have them light up Leicester Square. Or is that too weird?

I'm afraid that it doesn't make much sense for the world premiere of Serenity to be in the UK, it launches in the US first and they should get the earliest wave of publicity from that. Then the following week, we get a premiere and all the publicity from that in the UK. I think we'll just have to content ourselves with the fact that we got the very first fan screening.

Chocolatey photos Emma? You'll have to wait until Serenity 2 for those I'm afraid. Bring your camera.

And chocolate, obviously.

Well, the worldwide premier is in australia - a bit too expensive to fly out for that one, however we can hope that these August screenings go down well.

I think as far as premiers go, it would be cool to have the front of the cinema made out to look like serenity, with a big nose cockpit section and the 2 engnes sticking out - with of course everybody coming onboard via Serenity`s main cargo door (p.s. leads to me to ask, but I wonder if Serenity has a back door ) - gonna have to have a great gathering for the UK premier with as many people in costume or browncoats as possible.

for a moment there SW, I thought you said `Chocolatey photos of Emma` can`t wait!

Enjoy Glastonbury Emma & Becs(?) and any others, it`l be a scorcher if the weather holds.

As for the London Film & Comic Con, we should have a great time too - I`ll see people there!

Ok Becs, you have my mobile, whilst I`m not going to be as late as the last one, I will be around until about 8`ish on Saturday, before my coach ride back - having to set off at 6am which means waking up at 5am. I`m sure they may well be others staying later though.

I hope you don`t get bogged down with all the G8 stuff - I appreciate the statement that Bob is making but, I don`t think he has thought it through all the way - I hope I`m wrong and everything oes as peacfully as possible.

I vote 'Yes' to photos of a chocolatey Emma.

Is the world premiere really going to be in Australia? Weird. I'm going to be out there a few weeks later sadly, wouldn't be able to talk my way in then.

p.s. I don`t think Emma will be very happy at all - just heard the report from Jo Whileys Show on Radio 1 - the advice is to take a boat!
