While it is bloody amazing, it's actually only been about a year and a half (according to the release date on that list) ;-}

I would try to get more ppl I know to buy it, but I have trouble finding ones who don't already own it.

Not only that, but if you click on the "DVD TV Central" button on Amazon, you see a Fox TV DVD Sale, with the Firefly box set right at the top of the page!

Hello Browncoats! I've been pushing 'Firefly' to everyone I know who has any taste. Also, I went on Amazon not too long ago and you can recommend an item of similar interest to another. So I went to Star Wars, Star Trek, Farscape, etc. etc. ect and recommended "Firefly" in addition to all these items. I was usually about the 14th-20th person to do so. Then just to keep it going, I brought up the animated SW Clone Wars (really cool by the way) and recommended Joss Whedon's "Titan A.E." an awesome animated sci-fi flick. Now I don't want to start a trend of 100s of "Firefly" recommendations....but a few more couldn't hurt. What do you think????

This is great and all, but I've noticed recently that it seems fairly impossible to buy Firefly without going online - therefore, relying on Amazon results alone will skew things a bit. Still, top ten on Amazon ain't nuthin'. It very definitely ain't nuthin'.

I've bought 7 sets of Firefly DVD's, to give as gifts and because my set is stolen when I loan it to people. I've never bought it at amazon.com... though I generally direct people there if they are interested in purchasing the DVD's.

The numbers are a bit skewed but you certainly can find it in other locations online. Best Buy, circut City, Wal-mart, Target... it's even on Overstock.com. Plus I always see it in stores and tell *whoever* is next to me they should buy it.

I say any success is good success. If the amazon numbers say Firefly is #8 then the people who frequent Amazon may give it pause so..

Just wondering: The last few days, Firefly has consistently been staying somewhere in the vicinity of 10. This info is updated by the hour.

Anyone have any idea how many DVDs are being sold per hour on Amazon? What kind of numbers are we talking here, for our show to be holding ten?

I helped get it there! I just got my dvd box set in the mail today after ordering it last week! WOOOHOOO!!! Now I can finally give back the one I borrowed from my co-worker. There's already 2 other people at work who want to borrow it as well. Long live Firefly!
