I will be getting out of work early today (finals week...yaaaay!!), so I think I'm going to swing by there and check it out (hopefully they'll be open mid afternoon), as well as GI, just in case. BTW, GI isn't really that much "Tex-Mex" as it is "Sports Bar" -- burgers and stuff, just with a Mexican/Caribbean flair.
I'm going to talk to the theater also and see if we're going to be lining up inside, outside, whatever, so I know whether to bring a chair along, etc. like we used to do for SW lines.

Regarding the FL Browncoat patch:
Haken posted our flag design as one of the first items to go up in the Blue Sun Room. :-) You'll have to go way back through the list. Or you can go to http://www.fireflyverse.net/about.html where the flag is shown next to the paragraph about our Browncoat group.
The patch I have on the jacket is the center emblem from the flag. CSteinme did most of the production work on flag and emblems back them. I'm sorry but I don't think we have any extras lying around. I'll check with her to be sure...
If you want to do one for yourself: we used transfer paper with an inkjet printer to get the emblem onto a heavy cotton material. I think we may have added some fusable interface to stiffen it up. Then I cut it out and sewed it onto my jacket.
This may be a "goodie" item we give out at the Orlando Premiere, considering the interest (and thank-you for that!).

Sadly, I'm on vacation this week and part of next week (posting from hotel room right now). I can't remember if I have any extra patches laying around, it would only be one or two anyways. I'd love to make another batch for the Orlando Premiere giveaways, once I get my sweatshop back.
What Karen said is exactly how we made them. Transfer paper onto heavy weight cotton fabric, then cut it out and embroider stitched onto the shoulder of the jacket. It turned out very nice.
I still have to make myownself a large Browncoat flag. Seems everyone has one but me...
