What is Your Tv Set Up like?

OK, I want to hear what you have &/or anything that will help people that are looking at getting a new 'setup'.
my setup:
TV Sony 30" widescreen 'KD-30XS955' (I wish I got the 34' & get an extened warranty it cheep if you get the tv from sony & a great TV)
Denon '1910' DVD Player (liked my old toshiba pitcher better but it did not have progress scaning or DVI out)
Yamaha 'RX-V520' (kicks a**)
X-box
DVR
Momster clean power 'hts 5000II' (stopped working after 3 months but Monster sent me a new one, 5 year warranty, BUT that is only because I got it from a authorized dealer, saved me $600)
Monster Voltage Stabilizer AVS 2000 (getting next month)
2 JBL 3 way 8" 175 watt bookshelf front speakers (great soundrange)
Center Channel 3 way JBL 150 watt (good center speaker)
JBL front firing 12" 250 watt Subwoofer (able to hit 500 watts for short times, Kicks a**)
All high grade Monster Cables V&A
This setup cost about $8k

If you are looking at tvs, tubes are BEST for pitcher. 1080p is coming out @ the end of the year. 1080p is about 10X's the res. of 720p & true HD players will be coming out @ the end of year & next year (50gig-100gig per DVD compaired to 9gig per DVD now), but wait there will be 2 rev., BlueRay vs. HD-DVD, you don't want to endup w/ the "Bata' one.

WHAT KIND OF TV DO YOU HAVE? & OTHER THINGS you have HOOKED UP TO IT? & ADVISE TO PEOPLE getting a new setup, good & bad experances w/ what you own or have owned. Like I said.

Oh, I see. OK, well my TV is a fading 17" computer monitor with whatever I've managed to download to watch. My speakers include a bitchin' "sub-woofer", but it only works if you push on the plug with your foot. If you sit really close it's like widescreen, only - closer! My setup cost about 8C when I bought it new, but I doubt I could get more than fifty bucks for it at a garage sale.

it is not hard one.
TV type, any trouble?
A/V yes/no good/crap
etc....
& 8k for a good setup is resonable, some people spend that just on a tv.

Okay, so we were teasing a little, perhaps too much. I know it's an honest question; but, you caught us married guys in a weak spot. If I wantonly spent $8K on TV/stereo equipment, my wife would get it along with the house when she promptly divorced me.

No married guy is comfortable admitting that. I've got a 5-year old 56" Zenith, mid-value Sony surround system, digital cable w/ DVR, Philips DVD player (because it plays every video format in existence, to include WMVs and DivX movies burned on DVD+/-R/RW) and a VCR we never use anymore. Pretty standard stuff (maybe $3.5K total over the years on these components), and the only thing I get technophilic about is computers. On that subject we can talk...

Some people also spend more than $50K on a car, too. But, not anybody I know or associate with. I feel guilty for having spent 26 thousand on my Sebring LXi. Perhaps you were mistaking us for the Hiltons? That Paris has a good head on her shoulders...

Thats' a nice sys. I have seen 50" in the stores that thought that was big. & someday my tv will be 5 years old too

& To add, if you what you can talk about you computer sys. & that goes for others, too. Computers can be the worst to 'pick out', when to get, what to get, brand etc....
How about this, if you can watch tv or a dvd on it let hear about it.
