Why a steakhouse? Because it fits in with the western theme better than the mexican food....our BDH did have cows for cargo didn't they? :)
Also, I can't do mexican food - too spicy for me - and the steakhouse is called "Logans Roadhouse" and here's the latest review of it:

This resturant has a wonderful, exciting, family oriented atmosphere. The food is wonderful and the pricing is even better. The entire staff, including managment, seems to love their jobs and are always willing to help. My family and I eat here at least once a week. We appreciate their hospitality!!

It says it's inexpensive, and I've heard it is too. If we don't get take-out food and eat in line, this is probably where we'll go. I'm going to see our group this weekend, and next week I'll let you all know what the 10 of us are doing!

As for costumes, I have kindof one....I have sort of a Zoie costume....although for the premiere I'm making a companion costume....I look more like a Nandi than a Zoie (but I love Zoie). We're in the SCA too so I have lots of costuming skills - just not too thrilled to dress up in this heat.........

Ok, well then, If it's cheap, that's good. If it gets good reviews also, even better.

And you're right, Browncoats would look more in place in a steakhouse....

Okay, if there's no objections, Monday I will warn them and see if we can get something semi-private for us.

Let us know how you liked it, and tell me by Monday if you think they'd be up for a semi-rowdy crowd on Thursday!

Also, I have a plaintative request....I am going to get the banner done for us all to sign for Joss' birthday...if we want something more than paper, it won't be cheap. I can get heavy photo paper output where I work for about $64 for a 3' x 5' banner, or it's about $100 at kinkos for vinyl.

As a poor student and part time teacher, I'm a little broke right now until the next financial aid check comes in...anyone willing to help out the Joss Birthday Celebration fund? Just let me know so I know whether to go down to plain paper or upgrade to the photo paper or vinyl.

That, I do not know. I still have the contact info I got at D*C from Erin Gray's rep (who was also handling Adam, or at least Adam's stuff), who gave me info on where to send things for the crew, but since I've never heard that they did or did not receive the packages, I don't know that it's valid either.

Someone on the UB is trying to find out, since that's where this whole idea came from. Worst case scenario, we drag 'em all to D*C to display...if we can't get an addres, maybe a kindly Universal rep will take them in at the theatre...gotta hope!

Good idea but circumstances (coming across state) don't allow for the early shindigging plan.

I plan on wearing my brown cordoroy jacket with the FL Browncoat Flag emblem on the sleeve. I don't know if that really counts as a "costume" or not...

I only drove by it - had a wedding to be in this weekend. It looks good to me; casual not pricey.
But still waiting to hear from my peeps as to what we're all doing.

I just called the steakhouse and asked them to fax me their menu....I'll let you know what it looks like asap.

I do know we'd want to buy some browncoat patches if anyone brought them to the prescreening to sell though.

Other than that, I'll have to let you know - procrastination is their best asset!
