Seriously, damn. I saw that cognizant-but-without-moral-judgement stealth fighter for the fourth time when I could have seen Serenity. I'm in Northern Jersey, by the way. Anyone 'round here have some good luck?

I'm in Englewood, NJ and will be going to Edgewater on Friday. I'll keep you posted if I see it!

Has anyone else noticed a 2nd trailer for the film? Is it available on the internet and I just haven't come across it?

Bumping because I have the same question.

I was on Whedonesque a little while ago and there's an article about a con in England that's advertising that it'll be premiering the new, "edgier" preview, so yeah, there's another version on the way. Maybe one theater here jumped the gun?

I saw the trailer when I saw Hitchhiker and it was the same one that's online.
Now I really want to know if the Batman Begins one is a different trailer!!!
Also, did it mention a release date at the end????

A friend just emailed me this morning about seeing the Serenity trailer before Batman Begins. And get this, he says the date attached to the trailer was JULY 29, 2005!!! If they are showing new trailers, it could be possible they changed the date of widespread release. Has anyone else seen this??

OMG! Will someone please verify this?

Also, want to know if there's anyone in Vancouver, BC who has seen Batman Begins and can tell whether the trailer was attached to it here?

I saw Batman Begins at the Loew's 34th Street in Manhattan last night. I thought the movie was very good. And I jumped and gasped when the trailer started and several people clapped when it finished. Also, the group of people behind us were talking about it during the next preview (for the dumb stealth thingy), saying that it looked cool and one of the guys told the others that it was based on a tv show by Joss Whedon. They weren't Browncoats or anything, but they did seem interested in seeing it. The trailer was the same one that I've seen online. I don't remember seeing any release date at the end... I could have just not noticed it because I have September 30th embedded in my brain. I'm sure I would have noticed if it had said July 29th, though.

Yeah, it was outside of Cleveland Tuesday night at midnight. Or, Wed. morning at midnight. You know what I mean.

My friend really enjoyed the series (I gave it to him this past Christmas) but was underwhelmed by the first trailer. I recall him saying that if he hadn't watched Firefly, he wouldn't really want to see the movie based on the trailer.

This one, however, he was ecstatic about. Gushing, even, saying that it was leaps and bounds above the first. I'm pumped to see it now. I suppose (responding to someone else upthread) that it's possible this theater jumped the gun on the new trailer...

The trailer I saw was the same one we've all seen - don't know how to differentiate, but it's what I call the "aim to misbehave" trailer. There was nothing new about it. There was NO date attached to it.
