Wow. I know I've been saying this all along, but to hear it actually come back from the suits ... Wow.

Thanks for sharing, Static.

Yay!!! Damnitall! grr...my friend and I were planning to meet up in Raleigh for the premiere on Sept 30th. Now I don't know if she'll be able to make it if the date changes. :( And I don't know if I'll be able to make the new date either. :(

Oh, well. Yay!!!! *happy dance* Studio execs who have brains....and know how to use them.

Go Serenity!!!

Well, I'm seeing it openning weekend even if it means I don't get to go have fun down in NC with everyone.

Oh! Great! Gods! Below!!

This is absolutely...positively....(adjectives ...failing....)...Doubleplus good!!!

All the moreso, since the birth of my son (!!!!!) is slated for 10/4 (a very cool birthday, so I hope he's more punctual than his d-d-d-dad {that will take some getting used to!} ). Dangerously close to the 9/30 release date. Given Finagle's Law ("the perversity of the universe tends toward a maximum"), I fully anticipated a go for launch as soon as the 'Versal logo appeared.

This could very possibly put my butt in the seat after all!!!

Thanks for the leg-work, STATIC!!

Not to be a glass-is half-empty type of person, but do you suppose if Serenity is released much earlier than Dragoncon Joss and the cast will pull out because of lack of the need to build up anticipation for the movie? I'd hate to book what will be a very expensive weekend on the condition of seeing my beloved Serenity people and then be disappointed. No refunds, ya know!
On the upside, of course, Serenity Now!

I'd be thrilled if Serenity came out earlier because I'm incredibly impatient and want to see it. However, it would upset my plan of seeing Alan Tudyk in Spamalot the 28th and then seeing him in Serenity the 30th. Unless Serenity's still in the theaters at that time even if the release is moved up, in which case I go see it again and my plans are saved. Okay, I've convinced myself. They should release the movie right now. In my apartment. And everyone involved should be here to see it. The world's more fun in my head than in the real world.

Now we have to be married. I'm in the family way.

Sees all this as a lesson in how rumours are born.

Still, a summerish release would be kinda nice.

WOW!

Thanks, Static, for posting the phone number.

As for T-shirts, etc, with the date... Sure, it will be tacky, but a Sharpie works wonders.

That is fucking awesome. I've been telling people that this was going to be as big if not bigger than episode III.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Would they really do that? After all, how would that look for a sequel, if everybody knew they are just nice and friendly to their fans when they need some support? Besides, even if it is somehow organized/paid through Universal, half these people might be the kind that would just pay for it themselves to be there. Of course, I might just be a naive dreamer falling for their elobarate act ,-)
