I'll likely have gotten the "Browncoat" from Abbyshot by then, but I guess wearing the whole outfit (holster/gun) to pick people up at the airport MIGHT not go over well...........not that I've found sources for that yet.

Oooh, parties are so much fun. I have already scored myself Kaylee shoes (the chinese sandals she wears in "Serenity") and an umbrella. It doesn't have the cool swirlies, though. Also I ordered a River shirt from fray101 and it ROCKS (check out her stuff, it's great!!) Now I need to hunt down my own pair of kaylee-alls and I'll be good to go...

Wouldn't it be funny if we managed to have one person dressed as each of the BDHs to be at the airport? Anybody going as Book or Zoe?

So it doesn't look like 10-15 rooms worth of people (yet)so I'm not sure about the group room rate. Of course, if were still planning on sharing (which leads me to another question Who wants to room with who, who prefers to not share at all or is bringing someone else to share with ?)it should still be a very nice price per night.

If you know anyone else that is thinking of coming I think it's best that we make solid plans by August 12th, so that we have plenty of time to make changes.

My husband and I can be available to pick people up at the Raleigh airport, we're in Greensboro but we took off Fri Sept 30th

We're not sure about a room yet - I'd like to do it - take Sat off and hit the Ren faire Sunday but I haven't convinced anyone else yet

Planning on getting hubby an AbbyShot coat provided the price is kinda reasonable - and maybe a Vest for me - we'll see!

Oh and one more note. I can't remember if I already told everyone, but on the chance that we can't get the group rate the rate for a double is $78-88 (I'm not sure what the difference is). Just thought that might help some of you plan for travel expenses and such. Now if only I could find a plane ticket that didn't cost me a $million that would be shiny.

Hey I am a local and I would love to help with the pick ups. My father has a van that we could use. You can count on me and 6 others to go to the big damn event. Everyone one of us are local so we will not be staying at the hotel. I drove by the theater yesterday and I did not see any hotel right around it. But in my defense it was also pouring so hard I could barely see the car in front of me.
