Surely any webcrashing is unintentional?
We're just too mighty for our own good?

Wondering... do they sell movie tickets over the phone?
I mean I am at work, and I'd sure like to get some work done instead of sitting here like a maniac. I mean people thought I was a geek before, but this takes my geekdom to all new heights!

Inara: "Do aliens live among us?"
Kaylee: "Yes. One of them's a doctor."

Geez, So there I was, just after my shower at 7:15 a.m. and checked the site for tickets to DC only to find that they were sold out.
The guy at the theatre I talked to told me they would go on sale at 10am today...I think I may have been lied to. *blinks in a shocked fashion*
Now I find out that DC was sold out in five minutes! When did it go on sale? And how did the site handle all that traffic in five minutes?
I am just about kicking myself for not checking before I went to bed.

Go Minnesota!
I'm so tempted to go get those...but my mom sez, no, we got to get my sister from the MSP airport.
BooHoo.
Sniffle.
And here I thought I'd come up with the PERFECT family reunion activity.

Just called the theatre at Charlotte NC and they said they wouldn't "know" about the screening til after 5pm today....
not overly helpful there - and my point that the screenings have been selling out in 15min met with dead air space.... :-}
--------------------
edit just called again and they said tickets on sale at 1pm - here's hoping!
guess I just keep refreshing - I'm at work and downloading programs like URLy are a no no--

Gee, I'm so glad Universal learned from the last two screenings, and got all of their ducks in a row before hand this time.
Oh, wait... They didn't.
Sorry, that's the sleep deprived stage manager coming out.

The sales at the counter probably were scheduled to open when the theater opened to the public, at 10AM, but the online sales began whenever someone scheduled it in the computer. As with last time, they still don't realise the size of their fanbase, and didn't think to coordinate times tightly.
The Albany theater, actually, told me on the phone they'd be beginning sales at 11am, and actually sold the tickets at 10:40am.

You can already get online Albany tickets at Movietickets.com. I bought mine at around 9:50 AM this morning.
Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Just talked to the theatre in Albany. Tickets are on sale now online, at both Movietickets.com and Fandango.com, and you can also buy them at the front counter.
I was also told that they are going fast so it would probably be best to buy them as soon as possible.
Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.
