Firefly credits observation

Hi everyone,
I'm brand new here and relatively new to the whole Firefly scene (but I'm already a huge fan).
So anyway, sorry if this has been mentioned before.
I noticed in the opening credits that Jewel Staite's credits seem to have a shorter screen time and in fact seems to be cut off too quickly (especially in the earlier episodes).
I realized this because I was trying to learn the actors names (to match the faces) and everytime I tried to read Jewel's, it seems to get cut off just as the shiny/burning effect stops. While the others seem to linger awhile.
Anyway, just a little observation. It's nice to find this website, I think I'll stick around for awhile!

Welcome, Leee. I hope you like it here.
I never noticed that about Jewel's credits. Now I'll have to go back and watch it again.

Welcome, Leee.
This is the only thing that bothers me about the opening credits. Ron Glass is also shortchanged on time. And I think it's that way on every episode.

Hi and thanks for the welcome!
You would think that the actor's agents would be all over this...demanding exactly equal screen time for credits. I've read horror stories from other shows where the subject of who gets billed in what order, the type of billing, length, etc. have been virtual deal breakers.
It's possible they created the credits after the editing had been done for the opening, and they were just trying to match the timing correctly?
