Okay, I've listened to this line over and over and I still haven't figured out what Mal says. At the end of Safe, when they are rescuing Simon and River, Mal turns to Simon and says, "blah blah Doctor, blah blah town blah blah blah near miraculous". And Simon replies, "Yes, I'm very proud." This line was obviously redubbed but it didn't make it any clearer. Does anyone know what he said? It's driving me bonkers!

Another one. At the end of Jaynestown, when Kaylee and Simon are talking, Kaylee says, "Well, you can blah-blah me some, is all." At first I thought it was "you can feel me some". But now that I listen to it, that's not right. Any ideas?

In Safe,
Mal:I’ve got to say doctor, your talent for alienating folks is near miraculous.
Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

And in Jaynestown...uh, I don't know what you are talking about so here's the whole Kaylee and Simon bit.

KAYLEE
You got to be steely. You can't be letting
men stomp on you so much
SIMON
It wasn't exactly a plan...
KAYLEE
You ain't weak. You couldn't beat them
back? Or would that not be appropriate?
SIMON
You're never letting go of that, are you?
KAYLEE
Well, you confound me some, is all. I mean,
you like me well enough, and we get along...
and then you go all stiff.
SIMON
(stiffens)
I'm, I'm not, um, I didn't...
KAYLEE
See! You're doing it right now! What's so damn
important about being proper? It don't mean
nothing out here in the black.
SIMON
It means more out here. It's all I have.
I mean... My way of being polite, or however
it's...well, it's the only way I have of showing
you that I like you. I'm showing respect.
KAYLEE
So, when we made love last night...
SIMON
When we WHAT?
KAYLEE
You really are such an easy mark.

Jayne: Hey, I didn't fight in no war. Best of luck, though.

Ah, thank you thank you thank you! Mal's line has been driving me crazy.

This is the Kaylee line I was confused about. You have good ears. Or maybe I just have bad ears.

But thanks for clearing that up.

Can anyone hear what River says on the ramp in WS just before she frags Niska's gaurds? Whoa. Good Myth transcripts say "Can't Look, Can't Look" but it don't sound like that when I'm watching it.

"Can't look. Can't look." is what I heard. Then she closes her eyes and shoots.

I can understand everything else on my copies. That statement sounds Chinese in my copy, maybe she is just saying it fast so it sounds like that.
Maybe I need a new pair of ears?

I thought River said "Can't look" twice, but on another go-round, she doesn't say the same thing. I agree, I think it's Chinese. It's at least Chinese and then "Can't look".

But she definitely says "No power in the 'Verse can stop me."

I know many of you were frettin' on that last point.

"We all know I'm the funny one."
"You ain't all that funny."

Maybe she says "Don't look, don't look." which sounds to me like coaching. As if she shoots better with instinct than using her eyes and someone trained her to do it that way... bless her little heart.

Sounded like "can't look" to me, if I recollect correctly.
