I posted a comment but the last phrase is a bit sarcastic but I only meant it as a huggle - no sarcasm intended. Writing plays tricks sometimes especially as I have spent the whole sodding weekend writing an essay - grrrrr

Plus, any opportunity to return the conversation to, "Wow! Is that SAMI'S MOTHER?? She's so a) cool and b) gorgeous..."

Well perhaps I'm taking liberties with the paraphrasing here LOL.

Sami's not the most worldly teenager, though, so I would appreciate it if folks wouldn't make sleazy appraisals of her. I know some seventeen-year-olds are already complete tarts, but Sami isn't one of them...okay? Ok.

(Whereas, I'm the floozy here so, if you can't keep it entirely clean, then talk to me/ about me instead ;-)

well from left to right:
1)Cedric - buddy who had just graduated from technical school, he's off in Italy now.
2)Ojeda - came down for the graduation, he's at McGuire in Jersey.
3)Me - also went down for the graduation, stationed in Montgomery, AL.
4)Gabriel Peterson aka Pretty Petey - best friend who came back from Iceland to hang out with us all again, now he's in Germany.
5)"O" - a comedian who's taking time off for a stint in the AF and who's stationed in OK.

We all pal'd around together for the 3-6 months we were at Keesler AFB in Biloxi,MS and became really close friends. Probably some of my favorite people in the world. And for the most part are recent converts to the wonders of Firefly. (I sent some DVD's at Christmas). I hope we can all get together again soon (that was two years ago), and then you'll get to see some more pics!

John, they sound like a great group of friends. I hope the whole bunch of you never lose contact: My observation is that most men make their best friends early in life and don't make those kind of strong alliances when they're older.

My husband, actually, has not only commented on that, but he's a living demonstration. He still gets back to Pennsylvania to see his boyhood pals whenever he can. They're still his best buddies. In all the years Bob and I have been together, I'd say Bob's only made one or two good friends outside his old, established circle. And we noticed that Bob's father is the same way -- even though Dad's in his mid-seventies, the man's best and most cherished friends date back to high school and the Army.

So I hope you and your pals never completely lose touch. Meanwhile, now that I've lowered the tone of this thread with drooling references to my husband, I hope the lurking Browncoats follow suit and give you guys positive comments :-)

(Did somebody say "beefcake"? LOL)

Too young for me, girls. They're alllll yours.

P.S. McGuire's not far away. We're having a Browncoat Meetup in NYC on Saturday, if Ojeda's interested/ free to attend.
