This video is all about River - what makes her crazy and what keeps her sane. The music is Apocalyptica's "Hope," which was so appropriate that I borrowed it for the video's title.

I can't believe that's your first vid. It's insanely good. Usually I don't like vids that use songs without vocals--usually they lack direction--but yours has such a well-constructed story progression that it really works.

Fantastic job! Can't wait to see more from you.

Is there an open source program that'll convert the file to .mov?

I did convert it to .avi, but it was ginormous...the editing all seems so intuitive, but the dealing with the file types is very much not.

Darkjester - I'm already working on another one. :-)

OK, I've fixed a few issues with the video and uploaded a new version to the same location, if anyone cares. This one should be much better quality for the same amount of disk space, and I've livened up one section that I thought was fairly dull in the original version.
