I have been shindigified and I highly recommend it.
To clarify, shindigified means to have attended a shindig aka Firefly gathering. Many Shindigs are scheduled across the country. Check out the Fox Board for a listing.

I went to the Vegas Shindig this past weekend and it was shiny! There were 20-25 people and the rapport was instantaneous. We meshed so perfectly. Browncoats are smart, kind generous people with a great sense of humor. Very accepting of each other.

I hope all shindigs are as shiny and that you are all shindigified someday.

I've been omni-shindigified...and would recommend it to anyone else even remotely toying with the idea of attending one of the upcoming shindigs. Even if you don't know anyone before you go...you'll have a great time and get to meet lots of great people.

If you haven't heard of a shindig in your area...consider hosting one. You'd be suprised at how many fans come out of the woodwork once there is a tangible way to show their fandom! We've learned that there are science fiction conventions happening all the time...all over the country (Just do a key word internet search on Science Fiction Conventions...and the name of major cities near you). This seems to be a great excuse for throwing a shindig...and is a wonderful opportunity to get more folks interested in Firefly (and helping out with the campaign to see it resurrected)

meetup.com or evite.com are fun/easy ways to manage/organize more simple events...and there are lots of firefly fans that would be more than willing to share additional ideas on things to do.
