Now, Harry Hill featuring Firefly on TV Burp would have been worth its weight in gold. I'm disappointed that they didn't run the show while the new Doctor Who is on, he'd doubtlessly have a thousand genius things to say about it. But ITV is too busy with the success of Celebrity Wrestling and Celebrity Love Island.

What are the chances of that happening, eh?

wow, i have no idea what you guys are talking about - i am obviously a cultural blackhole. Somebody fancy translating for me?

PS Fray101, what do you mean the excitement will wear off? It can only increase as all the normals find out you will meet filmstars!

extremely dimensionally transcendental

I'm not coming! Met Robert Rodriguez yesterday and once again proved myself incapable of holding a normal conversation with a celebrity!!

Harry Hill - comedian, bald, glasses, big collars. Strange, nay, surreal TV show on C4. Now hosts TV Burp, an ITV "funny things that are on TV" show.

"My God - you're like a trained ape. Without the training."

Nope! I'd been to see Ep III and had a hour to kill before meeting a friend. So I wandered over to Forbidden Planet and whilst there noticed this guy in a bandana who looked like Robert Rodriguez - who is just one of my favourite directors. He had a shopping basket full of stuff, rather than the odd DVD or stuffed toy that most shoppers have which also put me on alert. But noone was else was paying him any attention (maybe they're just cooler than me!) and I wasn't 100% sure either way.

With more time to kill I went to the Cinema Store which is just down the road from FP and split into 2 shops. I go in the first one and low and behold there's that guy again, just leaving. So I asked the guys at the counter if it was RR and they said yes it was - now it was 5.30 by this time and you'd think the guy would be off getting ready for his big premiere. I go into the other part of the shop and there he is again. So I browse for a bit and then figure - heck this is one of your favourite directors, you have to speak to him. So I went up, wished him good luck for the premiere, which he said he was sure would go well, got his autograph, mumbled nonsense about seeing Spy Kids whilst under the influence of absinthe and then left the poor man alone!

That's a damn cool story Fray. When I first met Nathan Fillion and he asked my name, it actually took me a few seconds to remember it, so don't worry about chatting to celebs because there'll always be someone who makes a bigger idiot out of themselves (ie: ME).
