If given the choice, Serenity television series, or 2 more films?

I'd go with the series, definately. But, being on cable, bear in mind that it would onyl have a 13-16 episode season, unlike the major networks. This could be good or bad depending on how you look at it, though. Looking at a show like "The Shield", you wonder if anyone can keep up that kinda writing season after season, for 24 episodes. But the cable shows don't have to, they have a little more time to focus on and write the stories between filming of the seasons...
But then again, less firefly.
But I digress... series, all the way.

I'd much rather a series, and if by some miracle it happened, a 15 episode season would be good, maintaining the quality of the writing, etc.
There is one scenario under which Firefly *could* return to TV before 2012 - Fox may own Firefly until then, but contracts can be bought. It would take a heckuva lot of money, esp. if the films did well enough to warrant wanting to put the show back on TV, but contractual buyouts are a (faint) possibility.

Character development takes an unpleasant turn in movies often times - either it happens too fast or not fast enough or just plain not at all.
If it was on Showtime or HBO, I would indeed upgrade my cable service to watch it. If it were on Sci-Fi, I'd be happier, because then it wouldn't be the All Stargate All The Time Channel anymore. Not that I don't like Stargate, I'm just thinking that Sci-Fi needs a little more variety in its schedule.
Joss would have to be in charge of course, although the Stargate series has done well without the original producers. I don't remember if Highlander was done by the same folks who did the movie (please note the lack of pluralization). However, if it had to be done by somebody else, then it better be someone who GETS the Firefly universe. I mean look how "Enterprise" turned out.

Whatever Joss wants to do. But I mean "do", not "delegate". If he lets Tim Minear direct one of the sequels, it will feel like letting him spoil three seasons of Firefly, rather than just the occasional ep.

Here's what I see happening if you want a series again...and it doesn't involve waiting 8 years.
IF the movie is a success, what keeps Fox from striking while the irons hot and paying big money to start up the series in-between movies? If I had a contract to something proven successful I wouldn't hide it away, I'd use it to make money. Enough money thrown at Joss and the gang would convince them to come back to Fox, and Fox would treat it like the major franchise it has become. Say, movie, series, movie, series, movie. After that the crew will have outgrown their roles anyway.

This is just a quick poll (of my own curiosity), but how many people opting for the series have seen the movie? And, as a corollary, how many people who have seen the movie are opting for the series?
Myself, I have seen the movie and am opting for two more...but that seems to be of the minority vote.
