Good news first:
An August across-the-UK Serenity tour will be taking place, almost certainly, assuming nothing goes wrong.
Maybe with the stars.
Don't want to go into too much details as this is all still being arranged by some very, very shiny people here in the UK. I heart them.
Once there's detailed plans I will let everybody know. Please make sure you've emailed me - promote@whoisriver.com, with your name, contact details and (importantly) location! I'm not promising anything as numbers obviously will be limited. There's also the possibility of Serenity2 (the conference) folk getting tickets, I don't like if anything is planned on that front (Sean?).
Also, note, it might be a pay event, if that's the case maybe they'll be a limited ticket website to book with... Who knows at this stage, plans are fluid but I've been told they _are_ being made. Oh yeah.
I'm planning two new Serenity websites, hopefully online within the next few weeks - one as a centralised place for marketing by fans, the other as a mass appeal site for fans and non-fans alike in the UK.
(Also, to the geezer who's wanting to record the movie, arrangements have been made fer you. I wouldn't advise turning up).
I'm very amused, by the way, how much the UK gals are going to promote the movie. It's quite inventive (literally a screening tour of the UK with people involved) -- can anybody else thing of a movie with this kind of backing here recently?

You can count me in for London as well, though anywhere in the Greater London, Surrey, Hants, Berks area would be great.
Reading might not be a bad idea, as it's well connected by rail to pretty much everywhere (assuming the screening didn't finish so late that everyone would miss the last trains home).
Would be nice if the screenings this time were open to people other than those with convention tickets, as some of us just don't have the time or money to be able to go to the conventions.

I'm sure it sounds strange, but I'd rather see the finished version than the preview version. Even if it does mean I see it sooner.

Nope, that's not strange at all. If there's a preview near to where I live I'll try to see it - if only so I don't have to live in fear of all these spoiler lurking about! Have never seen a test screening so would be interesting....
But on the other hand, nothing beats seeing a film for the first time - and you might as well see it in its finished form.

Film will be finished by August, if it happens then it'll be an actual finished version, not a test screening.
