Just awesome. Looks like Nathan Fillion (Mal) will make an appearance as a nasty villian in the last 5 episode arc of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.

Filming on the episodes has already begun. Will keep you all posted when I learn more.

I find Nathan such an unlikely choice for this part that I'm very curious to see it. I'm all for seeing him stretch as an actor, but he seems very unlike the character.

Although, it is still my firm belief that we never actually saw the true depth of scariness that Mal is capable of in that ep: Niska never really did see the true Mal in that ep. Therefore we never so just how truly scary Nathan can be.

And isn't is the more endearing, funny, sweet guys who make the most scary bad guys? Because of that very contrast?

I haven't been watching buffy recently(I have a really crappy reception of UPN, the station is like a city away, angel rules though ;)), but nothing says you even have to make a villian overly menacing.

You could just have them so damn strong they don't have to try, but based on what we've seen in firefly I really think he could do either quite well.

Nathan is going to be in the final episodes of BtVS? AWESOME! It will be great to see Nathan on the small screen again.
