OMG - I got a twin
(almost 1/2 my age
), btw even though I don`t get along with my sister, her birthday is June 1st (day after)I`m having a little get together at my local Jazz`n`Blues Cafe with live music on Friday the 27th, but Saturday, Sunday & Monday are free at the moment.
As it`s a BankHoliday that weekend, could hang out on the Thames or something like that.
Just going to check now as to what i on over that weekend.

I quite like the idea of spending a tour in a Duck
but it`s £17.50 each! bit expensive for some.or maybe there`s the Titanic Exhibition near Picadilly Circus (£9)

boo hoo, i don't suppose people want to do one at the beginning of july/end of june as well do they?
I'll be in London celebrating my 30th after Glastonbury festival
extremely dimensionally transcendental

Well I'm hoping on going to the Convention on 26th June so can maybe meet up with some of you then.
Otherwise, as I'm only 40 mins away by train (and worked in London for 6 hellish years of commuting), can make most weekends. Bank Holiday weekend certainly sounds hopeful?
(saw the Titanic exhibition in it's original home at the Science Museum - quite amazing. Plus they had this "fake" iceberg and you cannot believe how cold that thing was).

We could go and see this Hitchhikers Exhibiton at the National Science Museum that fray has posted in another thread at the end of the month.
London Film & Comic Con is June 25th & 26th - I`ll most likely be there too.

check out the website - especially the bit about pre-ordering tickets - lose them at your peril

So, doe anybody have a preference as to Day & Time? I would like to say around Middday on Saturday, but we`ll need to get an exact time to book (and find out availability of tickets)
p.s. might be an idea to have 2 times when you can make it, just in case that time is booked.

Provided Chiltern Railways don't spring any engineering works on me I can make any day over the Bank Holiday weekend. Guss it depends how far people are travelling - as I'm nearby any time's fine by me.
As I'm hoping (hoping? I WILL be there) to go to Serenity2 would be really nice to meet some of you beforehand - and obviously if you're not so keen on the Hitchhiker's idea feel free to shout out.

i wouldn't be able to make saturday until about 6pm as i'm working but if people where planning to stick around i could meet up in the evening
at the moment anytime sunday or monday is good for me but work stuff does tend to change at the last minute so i wouldn't want people to go out of their way especially
'forgive my rudeness. i cannot abide useless people'

There`s nothing stopping this from being an all day event - only trouble then would be - last trains & coaches back from London fro people who don`t live near.
I`m going to ring up 1st thing in the week to find out about tickets for the Hitchhikers Guide Exhibition - probably for around 12-1pm Saturday and I`ll report back on the availability and whether I`ve booked. I would like to have gone Monday, but it would mean a very late night/early morning return on the coach back home & I would like to have a shufty around some shops so maybe Sunday will be out too.
If people want to come back and we can try and arrange something.
