Have watched Odyssey 5 from the beginning and found it totally refreshing. For a start the characters are real, they swear. May seem a shallow reason for liking it but I get so weary of watching human beings getting really stressed out and not swearing like the rest of us. Having said that, I also like it because it's a good story and had a lot of possibilities.
Unfortunately, like Farscape and Witchblade, it's been scrapped.
Why do series with an ongoing storyline get cut so often?
Seems to me only self-contained episodes are the main criteria for deciding whether a series continues or not, and not intelligent, witty and rivetting writing of complicated stories.
Babylon 5 was great for this reason and I've watched it over the years several times. I don't think that was so popular when it first came out so what changed?
