Where does a writer jump in?

Being thoroughly drowned now in the sea of cyber paper, I'm wondering where I jump in if I want to write? I come from an online rpg playbypost group where we all control our own crafted character (or four in my case) and I was wondering if such a thing exists here or anywhere for Firefly? Not meaning possessing the virtual bodies of Firefly characters like Mal or Zoe or whomever, but making new characters in the Firefly spacescape.

Just testing the waters.

We do both here, MegDuncan. You caught the "Gunrunners RP" on hiatus unfortunately, and I seem to recall that there are a few other rp's floating around too. I just happened to be partial to the gunrunners cause I'm one of 'em.
We like to play the parts of the crew and other characters of our own invention too. I'm playing Shepherd Book, a character off-ship called Malachi, and a few random characters to help facilitate Malachi's and Book's moves.
I think there are about 4 passengers on board our Serenity now. There's sure to be more coming on board soon too, as others take their leave. I bet you could fit right in.

Inara: Who's winning?
Simon: I can't really tell, they don't seem to be playing by any civilized rules that I know.

I am about to post something about this very subject, but I'll tell you about it before I do.

www.oberonrpg.com

It's a play-by-post fan fiction that is centered on the same Verse but not the crew. Oberon is the ship and Covenant is a city.

Oberon has eleven cast members and isn't currently accepting applicants.

Covenant is growing and needs applicants. Currently all the players are male as opposed to the Oberon which is primarily female. Odd that.

In any case come take a look and see if you can find a home there.

Thanks for all your replies, but in a roundabout way I found a place to write. SLA's Monarch took me in and I think my lost teacher character will enjoy it. :)
