No Serenity trailer for me, and I thought the movie was decent. Rockwell was excellent as President Bush.

I got the same previews reported by most other people, and I live in the Chicago area. I'm guessing that it has absolutly nothing whatsoever to do with geography, but rather the theater chain.
At the AMC where I saw hitchhikers tonight, I got Chicken Little, Zathura, and Herbie, which was advertised as "Herbie-er" than all previous Herbie interpretations.
Can anyone verify that this is what they got at AMC theaters? Did anyone see the Serenity promo at an AMC?
To the people who DID see the Serenity teaser, what theater chain were you at?

no trailer attached to HHGG
didn't rate the film much - a bit of a nostalgia trip as i grew up on the books, radio and tv series - did like the nods to the heritage - but felt like it didn't really flow like a film - felt like a 'best of'
the only bit i found really humorous was the 'prisoner release form' scene - don't know about the US but bureacracy in the UK is almost as bad as that!!!

The movie, kinda boring. Guess you have to be a fan. The only thing saving it was that wacky "President of the Universe" guy.

Going to see it today, but it seems to have gotten mixed reviews. I'm a little worried, because I am a fan of the books, (I read them all in a row and loved them all), but we'll see. As for the Serenity trailer, I would love to see it on the big screen, but I am satisfied having seen it at all. I'm really more interested in other people seeing the trailer and getting excited for the movie that aren't already fans. So I hope the trailer IS playing...It's rainy and yucky here today, so maybe it'll drive more people to the theater.

Nah, HHGTTG sucked...I mean, there were almost no redeeming qualities. The funny parts were the lines taken right from the book (you could tell who hadn't read it during these parts - they were the ones laughing). There were a few things not in the book that may evoke a smile, or a slight chuckle, but no one in the theater really laughed at any of them. And about half-way through the film, they stray way off the plot, so that Arthur can be a hero. And, there's a whole completely fabricated love-story between Trillian and Arthur. Wtf was that?
I'm not even sure the writters actually *read* the book, in its entirety. As evidence of this, they mention the Restaruant at the End of the Universe near the close of the flick, and head there; then Marvin comments it's at the "other end of the Universe," so they turn around and head the other direction - implying that the restaurant is located at the edge, not the end.
Nah, it was a really lame flick. I don't recommend it - and no dice on the trailer in the Baltimore area, btw.

Friend saw it yesterday....no Serenity trailer here either...she said it was Herbie, Dark Water and something else...

but they showed at least two trailers for movies with November release dates!
