Absolutely fantastic, trs80. You did such an incredible job! It looks so professional, and I love the "Keep Serenity Flying" messages in the nav screens.

Unfortunately, I took them to a freinds place up in the catskills (2 hours from NYC, one way) and left the damn things there, so I can't watch them again until I get back out there and pick 'em up! (How can I complain if I have another great reason for going to my friends fabulous chateau in the mountains?)

The DVDs are muy shiny, through and through.

My friends, who'd not watched the show, thought they were produced by Fox!

I said NO WAY! Fox is too STUPID to release this on DVD!

I assured them that I would have bought them from Fox if Fox had released anything...

BUT NO!!!! So bootlegs it shall be... for now.

Anyway, considering the work and love that went into making them, and considering how Fox has eliminated every FF viewing option we have, they're worth every penny.

The only question I have is... will Friday nights ever be the same?

Thanks

Well, you could always get ANOTHER set instead of driving to the mountains But, I like the mountains too so I can understand!

It's still amazing me how many people love this show. How this for a worldwide audience:

Two sets have made it to the Gulf along with the troops. A captain, staff sergeant, and a corporal have emailed me from various locations there to tell me how they're enjoying them.

A couple weeks ago someone from Madagascar got a set from me. They heard about the show on the internet. I bet a lot of Joe Millionaire watchers don't even know where that is!

Someone who takes supplies periodically to McMurdo Station Antarctica got a set from me to hand carry to someone working a 6 month shift there. I'm in awe over this one!!

Curtis Mathes players won't recognize the discs at all. Guess what kind of player my dad just bought?

Nevertheless, I kept the DVDs even though they were supposed to be a gift for a friend... so that I can lend them to people.

Early: You ever been raped, Kaylee?
Kaylee: You know, it's funny you should mention that... ever heard of the Fox network?

Shiny!!! That is absolutely amazing! You're doing a great job keeping Firefly flying!!! Thank you!!!

I've just finished reviewing my second (Full-color label) set and they work fine in all my machines. RCA RC5220P, Dell PC w/ PowerDVD, and my PS2. Only problem w/ the PS2 is that it seems to take longer to load, but they all play fine, just like my original set.
Speaking of my original set, it is on it's way to a buddy currently deployed in the Gulf. He's looking forward to getting it.
