This is why eBay is one of the most successful internet vetures in history. It's the capitalist's dream. A lucky (and apparently rich fan) bought the scripts to the last three unaried episodes of Firefly for $830. If those remaining episodes never air, he may well be one of the few fans on this planet in the know about what those three episodes are about.
Here's the item's description as it appears on eBay:
Quote:
"Firefly" fans rejoice!
You are bidding on original shooting scripts with colored revisions for the three episodes of Fox's brilliant and underappreciated sci-fi/western "Firefly". The show was canceled before these episodes could air, leaving fans screaming for more. Now you can know what new adventures Joss Whedon planned for his crew.
These scripts are the same ones that were passed out to cast and crew of the show. The episodes are as follows:
"Heart of Gold" - Mal and the crew come to the aid of a brothel besieged by a ruthless land baron.
"Trash" - The return of the character 'Saffron" from the earlier episode "Our Mrs. Reynolds". Here the scheming villainess has a job for the Serenity crew. Can she be trusted?
"The Message" - Written by exec producers Joss Whedon and Tim Minear. The crew must deliver the corpse of an old war comrade home, but things are not as they seem.
Great episodes. Perfect collectables and a must have for any Whedon or "Firefly" fan.

Yeah, except that they're making even more money capitalizing on the natural low IQs of real people participating in pseudo-reality TV series like 'Joe Millionaire'.
