A: They're on Pacific time I think. So that means they posted that at 2 more like. Still...

B: They are very very very very well connected.

MooShoo72, there are a couple of reasons I can think of for the odd date/time of the PA posting. One is that they are, in fact, based on the west coast of the US, so are subject to PST.

However, that does not explain the entire day advanced notice of the post. Since I am an avid reader of their site, I think I can clear that minor irregularity by stating that I don't think that date/time of that post was correct. If it were, it would have come two minutes after the post before it...a post that DID, in fact, occur on Monday. I remember checking their site several times on Tuesday while waiting for the trailer to be released and I can honestly say it wasn't there before the trailer went up.

Best theory I got is that Tycho was anticipating the release of the trailer along with the rest of us, wrote the entry on Monday, and was holding off on posting it until a link was made available. Or it could be that these guys are pretty well known and Universal decided to slip them a sneak preview in order to help spread the word. Either way, I am glad to have the boys at PA on our side.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that Real Life ( http://www.reallifecomics.com/) gives us a nod, also. There Greg's currently sitting in front of the theater waiting for Hitchhiker's Guide, which means that he'll see the trailer on the big screen...

(I'm so looking forward to Friday!)

I was just thinking the same thing this morning when I checked Real Life, since he noted that he was a DVD-carrying fan of Firefly in an earlier comic.

Yeah, I saw the trailer on Ctrl-Alt-Del. This movie will be big. I hope it doesn't turn into a LOTR phenomenon, for the true fans', like you guys, sake.

But I still want to see the movie. And I wish I had found out about Firefly earlier than today.

Welcome to the site Phoenix, and to the addicition that is Firefly.

I agree w/ Hasufel, if you can pick up the DVD box set and check out the series. It will give you a better appreciation of the characters, the 'verse, and Serenity (the ship) herself. You will not regret it, trust me.

Hmm.. Weird.. Thanks for the explanation though. :) It makes me soooooo happy to see that the Browncoats aren't the only Firefly Fans. That there are actually real people in the entertainment industry that knew how awesome it was too. :) Makes me all warm inside..

My other ship is a Mid-Bulk Transport Standard Radion Accelerator Core Class Code 03-K64 Firefly.

Yeah, I'm not buying them yet, but I am borrowing them from a friend of mine soon.

And I will see the movie, there's no doubt about that.

But my one question is, why do you refer to people who like Firefly as "Browncoats?"

I've seen it elsewhere, too, so I thought I would ask.

Browncoats are what the Independents are called in Firefly. The Independents are the side that Mal and Zoe fought on during the civil war. Fans, after the cancellation of Firefly, adopted the name Browncoats and it has stuck ever since. Universal has now made Browncoats the official name of fans of Firefly and Serenity. It was the name that stuck.

For further reading on Browncoats see this site www.browncoats.com. They have a good definition of what a Browncoat is.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.
