They built a TANK as kids. I mean, surely that was a sign of emminent greatness.

"Invader's blood marches through my veins like giant radioactive rubber pants. The pants command me! Do not ignore my veins!"

Fine, damn me for having an English teacher for a mother! As long as the sentiment is there, I'm good.

That's not what I meant! I just meant the quote. I didn't even notice the difference, I just wrote what I thought Ash said. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Plus, I do the same thing. There's a song I like that says "I could care less what you do", but I always sing "couldn't".

Sometimes you really need your tone of voice to come through a thread. I was just laughing at myself for the fact that even if I've always heard it "gimme," I still had to write it "give me." As I told my brother, I blame Mom and my English degree for that. I should know better than to misquote Ash in an Army of Darkness thread.

And thanks, your response made my day!

BC RULES!!! I will always stop for AOD if it comes up flipping around...I've been asking for the triolgy for Christmas for years, but somehow no one gets the hint (got the Matrix set this year instead...let's say I was not amused...)

I used to have an assortment of Ash quotes for all my alerts on my computer, and "boomstick" makes it into my vocabulary a lot, how, I'll never know...

Ok...how many of you saw Bubba Ho-Tep? Talk about "Hail to the King, baby"...

"We gotta go to that crappy town where I'M a hero..."

Sweet! I leave for a few days and, upon my return, find a bustling thread about the great Bruce Campbell! You guys rock!

AOD: That little "Yeah" after Ash first fires the shotgun to shut everyone up. It's the little things that make movies for me - that puts AOD ahead of the first two Evil Deads - although they're fantastic flicks.

Bubba Ho-tep - I can't even think about that movie without cracking up. I think I enjoyed Ossie Davis as JFK almost as much as Bruce's Elvis.

"They dyed me this color." Awesome.

TCB, baby.

I started the thread because I just felt that pound for pound and minute for minute AOD delivers more laughs, action and cheese than any other movie I've ever seen. Makes B&T's Bogus Journey look lazy.

What I found a little disconcerting about Bubba Ho-Tep was that I actually started believing that Ossie Davis was JFK! What an amazing actor.

And to get back on subject, Bruce Campbell was great. Hail to the King, indeed!

I once said to my wife before kissing her " Gimme some sugar, baby." She hadn't seen AOD, so she just went with it. Cool, huh?

She hit me later when she saw the film...
