Not exactly Firefly, but I've been watching syndicated runs of 'Starhunter,' does anyone know exactly how many episodes are there and whether there will be a third season?

Reportedly this show is already in its third season in Europe. Starhunter looks like the bright light (alas!) now that just about all the other science ficiton on basic cable TV has benn yanked or crunched or trashed or otherwise cancelled. (I'm guessing the best sci-fi show on TV, Stargate SG-1, won't be around for more than the current season given RDA's problem with being so far from his family, and the show's relatively low ratings -- nearly at the now-cancelled Farscape's lelels. And, be it notes, about 1/3 of Firefly's ratings!)

Wow...someone else watches the show :)
It's seems kinda...Firefly-like, but not quite. Found the site for it if anyone's intersted: http://www.starhuntertv.com/

Hey all at fireflyfans.net:
About STARHUNTER: The show is actually still in it's 1st season. Season 2 - not 3, yet - is coming next fall under the title STARHUNTER 2300.
There are about 22 episodes first season, with 22 more for 2300, and more to come. Glad you guys like the show: I co-wrote episode 12 of the 2nd season and hopefully you like that too.
By the way, it looks like SH will be around a long time, and it gets better by the episode.

I've caught a partial episode of SH and liked it. I was pretending everyone was a FF character and the show took place on Serenity (not difficult, which probably explains why I liked it,) but oh well. It was the one where some corporation took over the ship and the wife of the company's president tried to seduce the captain.

Kaylee: You know, it's funny you should mention that... ever heard of the Fox network?

I highly recommend renting the movie, "Streets of Fire."
Michael Paré is a great actor, Star Hunter is pretty cool.
Seriously...Streets of Fire....is a great movie.
Has YOUR mom seen Firefly, lately?

This is all pretty funny. My episode is, more or less, the sequel to the one you just described.
BTW, SH was developed well before FF and it was a real surprise to the producers. Two sci-fi shows with such similarities reminded me of the B5 vs DS9 days, and I was looking forward to FF and seeing what directions it might push STARHUNTER. Alas. Mutant Enemy still rules though. Don't tell anyone I said that.

BTW
I agree. STREETS OF FIRE rules. That movie taught me how to fling around a butterfly knife properly.

*sigh* watched it last night, and once again pretended that Dante was Mal, Percy was Kaylee, and Luke(?) was Zoe. Dialogue wasn't up to par though.
