I don't think we've met. I'm TheSomnambulist or Ric if you want. I find it amazing you're having this quandry with this forum. People here are wonderful, so much so in fact that I'd love to invinte everyone back to my place for a big party! Of course we can't logistically do that, but on many levels that's the vibe that emanates from this place.
So may I strongly suggest you stick around and see where a little more patience and tenacity will take you.
So you have some quirks which you think many can't relate to, well I think you're in good company, that's the world over. Just happily except the beauty in our collective differences and we'll all be just fine. OK. I don't think I'd want to log on and converse with someone who was/is exactly like me all the time, in fact I relish in the diversity of character and personality on this forum and throughout the world over, of course on occaisions I wish more poeple would understand some of my quirks but then sometimes I'm glad they don't because they often set me straight on some of my more wilder and outlandish notions.... and this is what friends are for, either here or in the real non-virtual world. They pick you up when you need picking up and they knock you down when you need knocking down....
Whatever you decide I wish you the best in your decision.

Everybody has diverse opinions, afterall we live in different countries with different cultures, that`s what makes Firefly Fans a good place - the only thing I would add to all this is to `preview` your messages before you send them - I`m terrible at leaving out letters (or whole words!) which can turn-about the meanings.
There are stubborn people here too (all boards) but it doesn`t mean you have to reply to them.
We are all here to enjoy like minded fans with a common interest (Firefly), I`m not a terrible out-going person but here I have a voice.

Concerning spelling, capitalization, punctuation, etc., I think we'll get over it so long as we don't have too many posts that look like something on IMDB. Those kids make me wish to do more violence.

Hey, I'm another born again Christian here. In fact I'm a Youth Leader at my church. & yes, I occasionally swear in Chinese, or I pretend I do
