I just wish the book was longer. Maybe their can be a part two, so many good stories!

Last nite I bought the last/only copy at a Borders near me. I am hooked on Half Life 2 and only read the 1st 'chapter'. Looks like it is gonna be good. I wanted to skip to Jewel's chapter but I will read it in order. Once I defeat HL2.

same here.. hours after my last post i checked again (yes, again, im weird, i know) and they changed it to 1-2 weeks *sigh* if books were movies i could at least download it to fill the time until it arrives (just makes reading a pain). better dont think about the 2 months delay for serenity.

What annoys me is that they don't email you to tell you about the change. I bet if I hadn't cancelled my order it would still be saying "Estimated shipment date 31st March"!
To be fair though, 99% of the time I'm perfectly happy with Amazon.
I'm assuming that the book isn't actually being published in Europe (at least not yet), hence the delay. Thank heavens for holidays to the USA, that's all I can say :smile

So I wanted to read the book before I clicked on this thread. Now I HAVE to read this book!
All I have to say is Chapters better have one in stock when I order or head are gonna roll! (For the record the only reason I didn't pre-order was that if it arrives before classes finish on Friday I'll never finish the last paper I have to write, and I procrastinate enough as it is .)
Hmmm... if I order today, it could be here Friday. And I could spend all afternoon reading it

I take back any nice things I said about Barnes and Noble earlier. 2:30am April 2nd, they sent me an email saying that the book had been delayed. They posted a new shipment date of 1 May 2005. I almost had a stroke. I immediately cancelled my order and the next morning headed off to the local bookstores to look for it. No joy. I came back, and grudgingly reordered it. It now has a ship date of April 6th. So, all that for nothing. Because of bad info, I apparently delayed my own copy. Days like these, make me wish I'd never giving up sniffing glue!

Well, I just went into Borders and grabbed the last copy there! I suspect they only had one or two on the shelf anyway.
There is only one thing I hate about the book... its cover! The cashier probably though I was a self-help fanatic. The graphic and title make it look like one of those books. I almost expected L. Ron Hubbard's name to be on the cover somewhere.

I have not gotten my copy of the book yet. I'm about to order it from amazon. While I was there I noticed that there is only one review for the book. You good people that have already read the book should go and write your own review. Help get the word out.
