Unfortunately for our BDM, there is nothing--and can be nothing--better than Star Wars. Lucas intentionally crafted the original three for years, fine-tuning them so they would resonate with some of humanity's most deeply-held mythology. All respects to Joss, but I'm pretty sure that's not what he's going for with Serenity.

No flames from me. Heck, everyone's entitled to their own stupid opinion.
Firefly is different from Star Wars, in that it's not about superheroes saving the galaxy. It's about people struggling to find a place - something I can relate to. So for my money, it's already better than Star Wars. But I loved episodes IV thru VI as much as anyone, so I'll not be slamming them.
Sadly though, I found episode one silly and soulless - so much so that I haven't even seen number two and have no intention of wasting my time with number three. Great reviews might change my mind, but that seems unlikely.

I was playing hold'em poker in 1997 and was very often the youngest guy in a card room at 22, younger by 20 years sometimes. Now with the explosion of popularity of the game I've found that I'm often the OLDEST at 29. I've never jumped on anybodys case about being a bandwagon hopper.
I honestly can't wait for the popular explosion. I was a toddler when Star Wars Ep 4 A New Hope was released and the unexpected firestorm of fandom started. I would just LOVE to see this happen to firefly.

oh I would be very surprised if it (ndugu) was Succatash...
Succatash would have been both funnier and more incoherent,
much more intellectual in his own twisted way.
I still think ndugu is fireflyfan23 and his Mom JulieStevens (altho I find the post where I put forward that theory was deleted... Was that an offensive thing to suggest?).

You are right--Tash is generally much better spoken. But he would be smart enough to dumb himself down to keep up the disguise.
