Yeah, why did River never wake Jayne? Cos he's like a bull in a china shop and her plan required finesse? I mean, everything was super great until Simon flipped out. Jayne would've come out, guns blazing, just like Zoe.

I also got the impression that several of her "anouncements" were made ship-wide and he just didn't wake up.

Did y'all notice anything about the use of the color red in that ep? I'm still trying to formulate a theory, but red and variances thereof, I think, might have meaning. Early, Kaylee, River and Wash all wear red (pink for Kaylee and River) at some point.
