I completely love every single frame of that movie. It's just incredible in every sense and I could literally watch it a trillion times. I'd say I found Ewan more heartbreaking than Nicole, but maybe that's because I'm a female? The throaty scottish cry at the end, got me *wipes away tear* I wonder what Baz Luhrmans up to at the moment, haven't seen him for a while. His Romeo and Juliet I thought was fantastic too, but Moulin Rouge has to be his best work.

As for being an Angel fan more than a Firefly, I thought yes I'm an Angel fan! No wait...Buffy's the first and best....no but hang on Firefly. So I'd just have to say, like Joss's wife Kai did, that they all satisfy a different need and I love 'em all equally :-)

Don't get me wrong, I love Moulin Rouge (I really do), but in my opinion Strictly Ballroom is just great. It is my favorite Baz work. Not everyone can watch it and enjoy it...in fact I've only met four other people...and the Pope (it's one of his favorite movies, odd...oh and I haven't met the Pope).

If you like Baz, try Strictly Ballroom.

I'm with ya Glowyrm, The Crow is awsome and I cry everytime I watch it. All the more affecting that Brandon died making it. He was a rising star.

not blood... Cordy was just a HS girl when she said it,
and she didn't know Angel was a Vampire at the time...

When I was living in the dorms in Nebraska when I first joined the Air Force (lo, these many years ago), we were getting ready for an inspection. Me, and my two other roommates shared two rooms. We moved all our beds into one room, and all the entertainment stuff into the other. So, of course, before the inspection, we had to move everything back again, and vice versa once it was done. We accomplished it, but that night, there were two movies on that we couldn't stop watching. One was Cocktail, and I stand beside it. I think its a great movie, and I enjoy watching it every time I see it. The other was Strictly Ballroom, and it was like crack on the screen...While we were trying to clean and watch the movie, several other airman came into our rooms (we were kind of a gathering place for most of them), sat down, and started watching it with no complaint. I like all of Baz Luhrman's movies.

Plus, I noticed that in I, Robot, Sonny moved just like Paul Mercurio.

Actually, that's a joke. I mean, I know he was the choreographer for the movie, teaching robot movement, but I didn't notice anything.

The only other thing I want to say about Paul Mercurio is that after seeing Exit To Eden, I've seen too much of him. Every other shot in that flick is of that man's ass.

Blech!
