Sweet merciful crap I hope they don't cast J-Lo.

What is that author even talking about? Is Wonder Woman of Latin decent? Cause I'm pretty darn sure mythical Amazons were never supposed to be.

All I know about Wonder Woman comes from a few episodes of Justice League I've seen and she sure doesn't seem to have any accent or anything there.

Ugh. The sick feeling I got when I read Joss was doing this movie just got worse. Then again, I should just trust in the wisdom of Joss, and let him suprise me.

Shouldn't Wonder Woman be Greek? Athena being a Greek goddess and all, you'd figure she'd be from Greece. And isn't her real name Diana, another Greek goddess? Then again, I thought the Amazons were from Africa. I swear I saw a History Channel special about them. Maybe they just took the name. If they are from Africa, Gina Torres? She certainly plays a great warrior. I know, Wonder Woman's not black, but really, what does it matter? Whoever Jessica Alba plays in Fantastic Four wasn't latin.

It'd be interesting to see Morena kicking tail, though.

Animated shows sadly aren't the best at including proper accents. (Y'know Sailor Moon? Sailor Venus is British. Yes, British.)

Wonder Woman should (IMHO, at least) have a Greek accent, like Counsellor Troi on TNG.

As for the Amazons being from Africa, there's the Amazon river (as opposed to the Amazon, River

). I'm not sure of what the nature of the link is (i.e., why the river was given that name). It's certainly possible though, since Greece is just a boat ride away from the northern coast of Africa, and Greece traded with Egypt, so we know that Africa wouldn't have been completely unknown.

And technically, Diana was a Roman goddess; the Greek version was Artemis. Though as I've noted, the Amazons seen in Wonder Woman are more Roman/Hellenistic than Greek.
